Spring on the Trail | FAQ

Get off the couch. Get on the trail!

Your donations will go directly to the efforts to improve and maintain the Kissing Bridge Trailway.
Currently the trail is 45 KM long and connects 7 communities. With your help it will be 127 KM long, connecting several communities from Guelph to Goderich providing one of Canada’s most unique and safe multi-use naturalized Trailways. On Saturday May 11, 2013 we will celebrate the trail at each community, there will be family activities, events and prizes for all ages.

Guelph | Ariss | West Montrose | Elmira | Wallenstein | Linwood | Millbank.

HOW DO I SUPPORT?

Buy a Passport! You can buy your Passports online or visit one of the Passport Sales locations in your community.

You can donate a prize, contribute cash or volunteer your time!

Contact admin@springonthetrail.ca and we will help you support the Trailway.

If you are a business we will work out an arrangement that gives you some recognition! You can also promote your  business by setting up at any of the checkpoints, for FREE! With no vendor fee and 45KM of Trailway, we will guarantee you a location!

DO I HAVE TO ATTEND?

NO! We really need your financial support for the Trailway. However, by purchasing a Passport you support this family friendly event, all $20 Donations can get you a Passport making you eligible to participate in any prizes and discounts. All donation and Passport purchases of $20 (or more) will get a TAX receipt!

HOW DO I PARTICIPATE or ATTEND?

Last year, this event reached out to Southwestern Ontario communities, sponsors and contributors. We awarded over 50 prizes at our 7 checkpoints.

Support your local naturalized Trailway by coming out to one of the communities on the trail. You can take part in the free activities for all ages OR challenge yourself, friends and family to BIKE, HIKE, RUN or WALK on the trail!

It is a celebration for all those who enjoy the outdoors, trails, safe cycling, running, prizes, discounts….anything on the trail!

CAN I BRING A GROUP, CHARITY OR TEAM?

YES! Celebrate the Kissing Bridge Trailway by making your business, group or family visible on the trail.

All groups, teams and charities are absolutely WELCOME to come out and parade for their cause! We want to see everyone out enjoying the trail while creating awareness for their events, teams and community projects.

Our trail is open to EVERYONE! It is free to use and free to attend. The Passport is your chance to win some prizes, it will get you a tax receipt and allow you to benefit from local retail discounts.

WHY ARE YOU RAISING MONEY?

This annual event is centred on the continued development of the Kissing Bridge Trailway connecting Guelph and Millbank (Ontario) and with your help it will soon continue all the way to Goderich, reaching Lake Huron.

We are creating one of the most significant Trailways in Southwestern Ontario. This Trailway is the backbone of local trails and it will provide a very safe transportation route from Guelph to Lake Huron (Biking, Running or Hiking). By preserving and developing this trail we are protecting approximately 3 square KMs of land, roughly the size of downtown Toronto.
